(Hood) 11 : 89
“And Oh my people, let not your disapproval against me make you Mujirims so that you may affect with destructions which had affected the people of Noah or the people of Hood or the people of Swalih; and the people of Looth are not far away from you”.
When the people of a Messenger become Mujirims serving Satan by hiding and rejecting Adhikr, they face destruction, as explained in verse 10:75. The phrase “People of Looth are not far away from you” indicates that the residence of Shuaib’s people (Madyan) was close to that of Looth’s people (Sodom), and the era of Shuaib’s people was not far from the era of Looth’s people. See explanation 2:174-176; 4:115; and 10:54.
